This will give you a good idea about the exam.
Do the entire trailhead before you pay for any Salesforce Marketing Cloud training (This is just my two cents). This is so I could understand things before I started.
The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Exam costs $200 US. You can get $30 knocked off the exam if you do an all day certification prep at https://trailhead.salesforce.com/en/credentials/cert-days/
- I failed this exam twice and it is tough
- You won’t get the discount code until the end of the training
You have two training options:
- Supermums
- MinuteAdmin
Supermums cost about $2,985 for about 14-weeks. You meet online once a week for about 3-4 hours, but the time zone is in the UK. You get access to Salesforce Marketing Cloud for 2 weeks. You will not get access any other way to Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
MinuteAdmin cost $300 and a series of videos but he walks you through everything you need to know about the exam through videos and practice exams. You have NO access to Salesforce Marketing Cloud. He is a certified marketing cloud trainer. I am also taking this course now to prep for the exam.
